I had originally took a photo of this for a future painting down the road. Then when I got the Topaz series for the Photoshop Elements, I decided to play around with it using this photo and I quite like how it turned out.
It's nice shot of a corner grocery with the living quarters upstairs, but I'm not a Topaz fan. I might be in the minority there, one sees more of it every day.
It is something new for me to experiment with. I have paint shop pro on my other computer that I may play with too. I am rather fond of Lightroom as well. Thanks for your honesty, I know it is not everyone's cup of tea. I did not like it at first. There are all types of photography out there.
You sure did a nice job with this shot. I've never tried topaz though I do run across it often.
I appreciate your visits to my blog and your very kind words. I use the Olympus E-30 camera and most of my photography is done with their 12-60mm zoom but I also have a 50mm prime macro and a 70-300mm zoom. With the Olympus 4/3 system all the focal lengths translate to exactly double when considering against the old standard 35mm camera, so for the 50mm would be equivalent to a 100mm on a 35mm film and the 70-300 would be the same as a 140-600mm. Oh, just last week I acquired a more wide angle lens, the 9-18mm zoom. My last Sunset Sunday shot was done with that one. Yesterday's "Thawing" photo was taken with the 50mm Macro lens. Sorry if this is way too much info, but there you go. Please feel free to email me if you have any other questions.
