Monkey Tree

A young Monkey Tree in Lewis Park. Anyone remember the game one plays while riding in the car, "Monkey Tree, I can pinch you but you can't pinch me back", game. I only learned this when I met my husband, and we were chatting about childhood games one plays while traveling.

I don't know the game - we didn't have these where I grew up, back east, but they've been a favourite since I first saw one when I moved out here.

Not familiar with that game - but then it could be because we don't have these trees in Ontario. I did buy a miniature one that I nurtured carefully, but it didn't last more than a year or so. I was devastated and haven't found one again.

I don't know the game, but you sure don't see many of these trees around do you?

I only learned this expression of Monkey tree can't pinch back when I moved to Vancouver and learned of it through my husband as he grew up in South Van. These trees grow well on the west Coast. I have seen some much larger specimens of these trees. I will be on the lookout if I see them again.
